Antoinette’s was at the White Mountain Bridal Show last weekend at the Common Man Inn in Plymouth and we had a wonderful time meeting new brides! We always try to create bouquets and centerpieces that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes and budgets and this show was no exception. I would say the favorites were our white/green bouquet and tall, fruit-filled centerpiece. Every time we do a centerpiece with a fruit filled container people love it! It really adds interest and color to any arrangement. Enjoy some photos!

Since our main website is geared toward online ordering of flowers and gifts for every occasion except weddings, we decided that this blog should be our home of all things wedding-related. It will serve as a place for us to share ideas, comment on trends, showcase pictures of designs (from actual weddings and bridal shows) and interact with brides, their friends & their families.

We know it can be stressful to figure out a budget for your wedding, and your wedding flowers in particular, that is why we are here to help! We help brides with every budget get the look they want for their wedding day.

Weddings! March 12, 2010

We have been hard at work putting together unique floral designs for bridal shows in the area and it has been a lot of fun! We were at the Lakeside Bridal Show at The Margate in Laconia and the New England Bridal Affair at Loon Mountain this month and enjoyed hearing brides’ ideas for their special day.

A lot of you gals talked about your love of gerbera daisies, and what’s not to love? Reasonably priced, brightly colored blooms are a perfect addition to any wedding day if you ask me (they are one of my favorites) the options are endless!

We are in that in-between time when winter still has her hold on us but we are hoping for warmer days! As we start hitting 40 degrees it feels like it can’t be too far off!

We are thinking spring at Antoinette’s so to celebrate we will have plenty of fun, spring-y arrangements in the cooler and plants on the shelves. We will have you looking forward to tulips and daffodils peeking out of your garden!

Fall has arrived! October 15, 2009

It’s been almost four months since we opened the shop and we have had a great response so far! We are continuing to add unique gift items each week, so keep stopping in and taking a look around!

We have received a lot of positive feedback on our flower designs which has been wonderful. The wedding work we have been doing has been so much fun, it’s such a privilege to be part of someone’s special day.

You can come see some of our work on November 1st at the New England Bridal Expo at Church Landing in Meredith, NH. We are excited to showcase some unique designs we’ve come up with and meet all of the brides! We will be sure to post pictures from the event.

We are officially open! The cut flowers and arrangements are beautiful. We are so excited to have everyone come in and check out all of the fun gifts, there really is something for everyone. We have wooden bowls and cutting boards, sterling silver jewelry, handbags, all-natural beauty products, soy candles, gourmet foods, t-shirts, pottery, scarves, baby hats and bibs and so much more!

Opening Soon! May 26, 2009

We are very excited to open the shop! We have been filling the shelves with great gifts all made in New England. It’s amazing how many wonderful products are made right here. We have unique sterling silver jewelry, pottery, gourmet food products, mugs, glasses, t-shirts, handbags, candles, soaps, cutting boards, wooden bowls, greeting cards, dog treats and collars…and the list goes on! We will be opening in June; I will post the specific date as soon as possible! For now we’re still working hard to get the rest of the products in and the shop looking great before we open the doors.

At Antoinette’s you will find only gifts made in New England, which we believe makes us unique and a provider of quality gifts. In these uncertain economic times we believe that it is important to support other local businesses. This weekend we will be attending the 25th Anniversary New England Products Trade Show in Portland, Maine to buy a variety of gifts for the shop. We are excited to begin growing our inventory and learning more about the products made in our area. We will be sure to tell you more about the treasures we find at the show!
